Visione Ride 2010 was a huge success, we raised
$3,500+ in the fight to cure blindness. We decided to change it up a bit for 2012. Instead of riding an epic 207 miles across eastern
Pennsylvania, we will be riding 3 laps on a professional cycling race course in Philadelphia on June 3rd. Before the TD Bank Philadelphia International
Cycling Championship we will be taking part in the ride before the race. 3 laps on the pro course for a total of 43 miles, which means 3 times up
the legendary Manayunk Wall. A 1/2 mile 17% grade hill in the heart of Manayunk. This year Devin will be riding the entire route
with me on a tandem. She actually talked me into it! Our goal is to complete the course before the pro race starts.
We are asking you to sponsor us as once again we are raising money for the Foundation for Retinal Research. The FRR has been a great
resource for our family and other families effected with Leber's Congenital Amourosis(LCA).
The FRR is committed to finding treatments and cures for Retinal Degenerative Diseases and supporting the lives of affected families.
In the past couple of years, with the help of the FRR, researchers have moved gene therapies to human
clinical trials. These trials have been successful in restoring vision in individuals who are blind or
severly visual impaired. With the help of organizations like the FRR, it is no longer if there will be a
cure for blindness but WHEN!!
For those of you who donated in the past, here are some positive results of your donations!
